Billet lifting fixture uses lever principle to lift billet without a power source. It can be positioned and locked by a rotating automatic locking device or mechanical automatic locking device. It can lift single-layer and multi-layer billet and has the characteristics of flexible operation, safety, and reliability.
Billet clamp is mainly composed of the beam, connecting rod, automatic locking device, synchronizer, clamp arm, support plate, and clamp teeth.
Hanging beam
The lifting beam is a part connected with the crown block hook, which has three kinds of structures: the lifting ring shackle type connection, the sling type connection, and the lifting lug type connection. The lifting ring is used to connect the lifting shaft with a shackle, which improves the stress condition of the lifting appliance, avoids the decoupling phenomenon when loading and unloading the billet, reduces the height of the fixture itself, and is conducive to the use of low places. The sling is connected with the hanging shaft to make the clamp bear better force, but the height of the sling itself is large, so it needs to be used in tall places. When hanging the hook, it needs to be hung manually. The lifting lug type connecting shaft can be directly hooked by the crane driver, but during the lifting operation, it is necessary to make the spreader touch the ground and lower the hook until it is not stressed, which will easily lead to the decoupling of the crane hook.
Connecting rod
The connecting rod is the connecting piece between the lifting beam and the tong arm.
Automatic locking device
Automatic locking device has manual lifting rod type, (automatic) double hook type, (automatic) single hook type, (automatic) rotary lock type, and other forms. The automatic locking device is a mechanism to realize the automatic opening and closing of the billet fixture. Its action does not need any external power source, and the automatic opening and closing of the fixture is realized by the gravity of the fixture itself. Oil filling and lubrication of lifting and closing mechanism: lubricating oil (or engine oil) must be added regularly (2-3 days), and then move up and down several times until the lubrication is complete. Do not add excessive grease for lubrication!
Synchronizer
Synchronizer is a device to ensure the synchronous action of clamp arms.
Clamp arm
The clamp arm is the main force increasing part of the clamp, through which the billet is clamped.
Support plate
The supporting plate is the supporting part of the billet clamp. The supporting plate is supported on the upper surface of the billet to ensure the smooth operation of the opening and closing mechanism of the billet fixture.
Jaw
The tong teeth have pin shaft connection type, dovetail connection type, and groove plug-in structure. The clamp tooth is the main part that directly contacts the billet, which determines the reliability of the billet clamp.
