- Drum processing material:
Generally, the drum is made of cast iron no less than HT20-40, and ZG25 and ZG35 cast steel or Q235B and Q345B steel plates can be used for welding in case of special needs.
If the lifting height is large, in order to reduce the size of the drum, the surface with guide spiral groove or smooth drum can be used for multi-layer winding, but the wire rope wear faster, which is suitable for the crane with low speed, light working type and low tonnage. Steel drum group is mainly suitable for large tonnage, high performance requirements of lifting machinery and equipment.
Q235B or Q345B plate is used for blanking → rolling the cylinder and welding the longitudinal weld → inspecting the longitudinal weld and geometric dimension of the cylinder (diameter, length, tolerance of the inner diameter ovality, etc.), and for the large diameter cylinder, the welding process reinforcement shall be added according to the process specification → the circular groove of the cylinder shall be machined, If the process requires rough machining of the outer circle of the cylinder, the outer circle shall be processed → the cylinder body shall be welded by long welding (i.e. circumferential welding). For the two ends of the cylinder that need to be welded with welding process reinforcement, the welding quality and machining allowance of the ring joint shall be inspected; the length of the cylinder shall be fixed and the end or groove of both ends shall be processed → the flange plate, shaft and inner support ring at the end of the cylinder shall be welded.
