PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
The Explosion-Proof Electric Wire Rope Hoist is a specialized lifting device designed for safe operation in hazardous environments where flammable gases, vapors, combustible dusts, or ignitable fibers may be present. Unlike standard hoists, this equipment is engineered with explosion-proof (Ex) components and enclosures that prevent internal sparks, arcs, or high temperatures from igniting the surrounding atmosphere. It is certified to meet international standards such as ATEX (Europe), IECEx (International), or NEC (North America), making it suitable for use in Zone 1, Zone 2 (gas), Zone 21, and Zone 22 (dust) classified areas.

APPLICATION
1. Chemical Processing Plants Reactor Maintenance: Lifting reactor lids, agitators, and internal components in areas where flammable solvents (e.g., toluene, acetone, hexane, methanol) are present. Drum & IBC Handling: Moving drums of volatile chemicals (alcohols, esters, monomers, acids) from storage to filling or mixing lines in Zone 1 or Zone 2 classified areas. Filter Press Servicing: Lifting heavy filter plates and frames in solvent-based filtration operations where flammable vapors may accumulate.

2. Oil Refineries & Petrochemical Facilities Heat Exchanger Bundle Pulling: Removing and inserting heavy tube bundles from shell-and-tube heat exchangers in process units where hydrocarbon gases (e.g., methane, propane, butane) are present. Column & Vessel Access: Lifting manway covers, internal trays, catalyst baskets, and packing materials in distillation columns, scrubbers, and reactors. Pipe Spool Handling: Moving large pipe spools during turnaround maintenance in areas with hydrocarbon vapors.

3. Paint & Coating Manufacturing Solvent Storage Areas: Stacking and retrieving 200-liter drums of flammable solvents (xylene, butyl acetate, MEK, ethyl acetate) in warehouses or mixing rooms. Mixer & Mill Maintenance: Lifting heavy dispersion blades, milling media, and agitator shafts from paint mills, bead mills, or high-speed dispersers. Resin Reactor Charging: Hoisting bags of solid resins, liquid additives, or monomers into reactors with flammable atmospheres.

4. Pharmaceutical & Fine Chemical Production Centrifuge Loading/Unloading: Lifting filter bags, cake, or solid residues from centrifuges handling flammable solvents (e.g., ethanol, IPA, hexane, ethyl acetate). Dryer Maintenance: Removing trays, vacuum dryer lids, or paddle shafts in dryers where solvent vapors may be present. Solvent Recovery Systems: Handling pumps, condensers, receiver vessels, and distillation columns in solvent recovery units.

5. Grain Elevators & Flour Mills (Combustible Dust) Bucket Elevator Repair: Lifting heavy elevator heads, boots, belting, and buckets in areas with grain dust (Zone 21/22). Filter Collector Maintenance: Changing filter bags, cages, and dust collector components in baghouses handling combustible dusts (wheat, corn, starch, sugar). Spouting & Chute Replacement: Lifting sections of spouting, chutes, and diverters in silo galleries where dust clouds can form.

6. Spray Painting & Finishing Booths Component Loading: Lifting car bodies, aircraft parts, industrial equipment, or furniture into paint spray booths where flammable paint mists, solvents, or overspray are present. Oven Handling: Moving components through drying ovens with solvent-laden atmospheres (e.g., automotive paint curing ovens). Booth Maintenance: Lifting exhaust fans, filters, lighting fixtures, and conveyor sections inside spray booths.
FEATURES
1
Explosion-Proof Certification: ATEX, IECEx, or NEC compliant for specific gas groups (IIA, IIB, IIC) and dust groups (IIIA, IIIB, IIIC), with temperature classes T1–T6.
2
Flameproof Enclosures (Ex d): Motor, limit switches, and terminal boxes are enclosed in flame-tight housings that contain any internal explosion and cool escaping gases.
3
Increased Safety (Ex e) Options: For components that do not normally spark, such as terminal boxes, with enhanced insulation and temperature monitoring.
4
Non-Sparking Materials: Copper-beryllium or stainless steel hooks, anti-static wire ropes, and bronze-coated wheels to prevent friction sparks.
5
Temperature Monitoring: Thermal sensors in motor windings and brakes to prevent overheating beyond the allowed temperature class.
6
Dual Braking System: Explosion-proof electromechanical brake + mechanical load brake for fail-safe holding.
